The spacecraft
Creating space shuttle was the beginning of a new era of space exploration. In the past, spacecraft were used only once, but the shuttle, which takes off like a rocket and return to Earth as a glider, can be used up to 100 times. Shuttle launched and repaired many satellites such as the Hubble Space Telescope, and put into orbit on board named Spacelab laboratory.
The main piece is a spaceship called Space Shuttle Orbiter, which is about two thirds the size of a Boeing 747. To take off and travel into space, Orbiter is set on huge reservoirs that are external to the fuel source for the three main engines. In addition, there are two auxiliary engines. Orbiter contains oil for their engines to maneuver. In total six Orbiter were built: Enterprise, Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis and Endeavor.
Colombia’s inaugural flight of 12 April 1981 confirmed that the shuttle can return safely to Earth. On 28 January 1986 to 73 seconds after launch, the Challenger exploded. Challenger shuttle Endeavor replaced, flights were resumed in late 1988.Navetele are currently used for the assembly of the International space station.
Three astrophysicists were able to evaluate on the basis of this data and determine what was the temperature of the universe when it had only 2.5 billion years.
This was between 6 and 14 Kelvin (-267 degrees Celsius and -259 degrees Celsius).
Measurements were made after observing a nucleus of a very bright galaxies.
